Luxury shopping bags are built from 157–210 gsm coated art paper, laminated for scuff resistance and glued over a board-reinforced top edge and base insert so the mouth keeps its shape when the bag is empty. Kraft carriers run 100–150 gsm brown or white kraft — strong, recyclable and FSC-certified — with a turned-over top hem and reinforcement card behind the handle punch.
Bag geometry follows the product: square-bottom SOS for takeaway and grocery, side-gusset for garments and flat goods, and reinforced two- or three-bottle gussets with divider inserts and heavier base board for wine and spirits.
We run 4–6 colour offset plus Pantone on the flat sheet, then add matte, gloss or soft-touch lamination, spot UV, and hot or cold foil exactly where the artwork calls for it. Digital covers low-volume and versioned runs.
Handle choice is both tactile and load-bearing. Twisted-paper and flat-paper handles glue inside the top hem for everyday retail; cotton, jute or PP rope and satin ribbon thread through punched, eyeleted or reinforced holes for gift and luxury work. We knot, crimp or tape handle ends to a tested pull load and reinforce the base of heavy bags so the bottom does not blow out under weight. Minimums start at 1,000 bags per design, with a 10–20 day production window plus transit.
