Our Heidelberg Versafire EV is a 7-colour press with auto-duplex, perfecting and in-line coating, printing up to 330 × 487 mm — banner sheets to 1260 mm — on 60–400 gsm coated, uncoated, textured, recycled, transparent and synthetic stock. The economics invert around 8,000 units where offset's plate cost amortizes, so we quote both ways and let the method follow the run.
Two things digital does that offset cannot: variable data and short-notice colour. Every sheet can carry a unique name, code, barcode, mailing address or image for direct mail, event and security work, and a fifth or sixth station adds clear varnish, white toner for dark and transparent stock, and neon pink, neon yellow or invisible UV inks.
In-house finishing covers digital die-cutting and laser cutting, digital cold foil, spot UV, saddle-stitching and perfect-binding, so a short run comes off as a finished piece. An ICC-profiled workflow with Pantone-bridge matching keeps a digital reprint sitting beside its offset parent run without a visible colour shift.
Because setup is instant, we also run print-on-demand: print to order, hold stock in our facility, and ship per unit as orders arrive — no minimum inventory, no obsolescence write-off. Standard turnaround is 3–7 days with a same-day rush option for cards, so digital covers both the prototype at the start of a project and the top-ups after the main offset run has shipped.
